Surgery? Oh no! Hello, I am Ashley Dashnaw. I am a certified surgical technologist. I work with surgeons in the Operating room, mostly alongside Ears, Nose, and Throat specialists for the last ten years. As a mother of three and with a decade of experience in observing children's reactions to surgery, I was inspired to write a book about my daughter's successful tonsil removal experience. I firmly believe that preparation is key to a positive outcome, and I have seen firsthand the difference it makes when children know what to expect. With my daughter's input and the expertise of an ENT specialist, we created a book that tells her story from her perspective, featuring illustrations that I painted based on the actual experience.
