Augustine Nwaka is an educator, ESL lecturer, and a poet who has poeticized vocally on the intersections of peace and war, injustice and oppression, including the issues of intrigues, child neglect and inhumanity. His poems have appeared in notable literary journals in the US and Canada, and in Nigeria and South Africa respectively. In October 2007, Augustine moved to the Central Asian country of Tajikistan to start off his teaching career at a local university. This change of cultural and geographical location has been a memorable milestone in his entire life experiences, which provided him with the opportunity to encourage intercultural dialogues and events. Afterwards, in December 2009, he relocated to the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) due to his new teaching position. Augustine currently lives and works in Kazakhstan as a lecturer.
