Avery’s debut novel, Heroic, follows the journey of Revenant, a young Black superhero grappling with supervillains and his inner struggles simultaneously. The story isn’t just a book—it’s an experience. Featuring QR codes embedded in its pages, Heroic links seamlessly to an accompanying hip-hop album, allowing readers to dive deeper into Revenant’s world through music and storytelling. Beyond his work as an author, Avery is a mental health advocate who uses his art to illuminate important topics like mental health, resilience, and identity. He also works with schools and organizations to inspire young minds through creativity, helping them find their voices and embrace their inner strength.
