B. Redstone

An avid reader of multiple genres, I took up the challenge of writing my first story on a dare from a family member. With over fifty stories under my belt, I think I can honestly say I won that dare. I'm now in the process of re-editing those stories for submission to Amazon. You will be seeing those and a few I've secreted away, waiting for the day I had a means to publish them to a larger audience. Writing has been a tremendous release after years of suppressed creativity. Not every occupation provides an outlet for creative writing. As much as I might enjoy spending all of my time at my keyboard, releasing the torrent of creativity from my mad brain, I'm taking some advice from one of the most prolific authors I follow, Stephen King. In his book "On Writing", he gave the advice to not forget to participate in the life around you. Writing, like many obsessions can devour time like crazy. It would be easy to let it take every spare moment. Connecting with family, friends, and experiencing the world around me are all critical in feeding that creativity, so I tear myself away from the keyboard and spend time with family and friends. I get on my bicycle and ride with them or tie on my hiking shoes and hit the trails. It's necessary for the soul and it's a helpful recharge for when I do return to the keyboard. I'm a very private person so you won't see too many intimate details on this bio, but you will see me in the pages I write. Every word comes from my heart and every value I hold dear is front and center. That's as intimate as can be and it can be a little scary. Life isn't about playing it safe. It's about sharing the love and experiencing everything that comes with it. Stay safe and take care!
