Meet Bainin—Bai for short—the author of the Paths of Akashic series. Bai’s love for fantasy and sci-fi books has been a constant through his childhood and teen years. He grew up immersed in the worlds of The Hobbit, Harry Potter, and lesser-known gems like the Grey Death Legion series, among many other stories. However, as life got busier and he entered the working world, reading took a backseat; video games, D&D, and other pursuits often took priority. Eventually, Bai discovered audiobooks, which rekindled his passion for storytelling and brought him back to reading. This led him to the LitRPG genre on Royal Road, where he quickly found his way into the System Apocalypse subgenre—a discovery that inspired him to create his own story. Nearly a year later, Bai is thrilled to share his first book in the Paths of Akashic series, with the third book already completed. He hopes his stories will offer readers the same thrill and escapism that fantasy and sci-fi have always given him. Happy reading!
