Barbara Sontheimer

关于作者

Barbara Sontheimer's, debut novel Victor's Blessing was a labor of love, sweat, and tons of research. A new writer without lofty credentials, she attained a B.A. (not a B.S. because "I could not handle the math!") from a little college in the bootheel of Missouri with a degree in Spanish, (alas sadly she still does not speak fluently). She spent over 15 years researching and writing Victor's Blessing, wanting to tell a Civil War tale from the North's perspective. Like most writers, she was a reader first and often found herself thinking about different scenarios or changes that could have been made at the end of a book. Although not convinced ghosts exist, she fervently hopes they do, and plans to include a ghostly encounter in every novel. She is currently at work on a three-part series based on the voyage of La Mutine from France in 1721 and of 88 young women who landed as prospective brides in Biloxi Mississippi. Barbara lives part-time in Lake Ozark Missouri, and the rest of the time wherever her husband parks the RV.
