Becky Kliss

关于作者

Becky Kliss is just a small-town girl, livin' in an ever-changing world. She took the midnight train to a life-long love of all things Gen X, along with an endless curiosity for culture, how it changes, and how it has changed us throughout the decades. Whether it is diving into communication styles, trends, social structures, societal issues, technology, or music (oh, yes, the music!), Becky’s zeal goes far beyond just nostalgia. Her interest is in what made Gen X (i.e., The Slackers, The Forgotten Generation, The Latchkey Kids) into the self-reliant generation that we’ve become today. Becky is also a passionate environmentalist. A mixture of her love of nature and her entrepreneurial talents led her to start a sustainable commercial cleaning company. Something started with a bucket, mop, broom, and idea grew into a staff of 180 employees across six counties. After selling her business, Becky started a nonprofit dedicated to helping businesses and schools become more sustainable. She also opened Re-Imagine, a gallery that showcased and sold upcycled art, and held sustainable art workshops. Now in her mid-50s, Becky is living her best life. Her never-ending curiosity has her reflecting on and divining the lessons and values that were instilled in us as Gen X, what we’ve learned along the way, and how it’s shaped us into who we are.
