BIOGRAPHY I am a visual artist, ceramist and designer. I research the history and connections of art. I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. I resided in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for many years, moving to Brazil in 1974. After a brief stay in Belo Horizonte, MG, I arrived in Campinas, SP, where I live and maintain my studio / school Tripolye: http: //www.atelietripolye.com INTERESTS I left college seduced by the idea of dividing my time between the oldest passion - plastic arts - and the newest, pottery. I did not count on the interest that would awaken in me the immense potential of creation that clay offers. Involved by the discoveries, the projects, the classes and the organization of the exhibitions of my works and the students, drawing and painting became a hobby. In practice, because I always set aside time for research and to teach classes and lectures on visual arts and art history. The ceramic shapes led me to glass and this one wanted to experiment with the inclusion of other materials. Thus came the discovery of metals as a raw material. With digital arts, I learned about the facilities for drawing and manipulating images. The practice of surface design showed me a new world with the possibility of global sharing over the Internet. Research encouraged me to create a website to share works that deal with violence in its various manifestations. Finally, in artistic making I have always had a greater interest in knowledge than in strengthening a visual identity. Naturally, this resulted in a diversity of forms of expression, with the use of different materials and techniques.
