Bill Irwin was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Bill went blind at the age of 28 painlessly, instantly and without warning. He is an author and professional speaker on leadership, motivation, inspiration and speaks all over the world. Bill is the first and only blind person to have completed the 2,168-mile Appalachian Trail hiking alone with his dog guide Orient. Bill was in corporate management with a large company for 30 years in a senior management position. Bill tells his story in a way that will keep you spellbound from start to finish. He is also a family counselor, health coach and father for 3 beautiful grown children. He and his wife Debra live in Maine.
