Billy Powell

关于作者

Billy Powell was born with a penchant to write. He grew up in a small town of 1600 people during the depression years of the 1930s, extending through the post WW-II era, to the mid-1950s. It was during these eventful years that Powell acquired the perspective to write his books. Powell is a graduate of both Middle Georgia College and Mercer University. For 40 years he held top managerial positions in the field of computer systems. Powell has served as a newspaper columnist for seven Central Georgia newspapers for 45 years and counting. He loves to research historical events and subject matters that previously are unexplored and undocumented. His writing encompasses multiple genres ranging from history, to murders, to sports, to religion. Powell published six popular books on Amazon.com: “Echoes from the Valley” (History, sensational stories, and gruesome murders in a small town), “Pride of the Panthers” (Greatest high school basketball dynasty in Georgia history), “Butterflies in Heaven” (Life beyond the grave and the countdown of end-time events), “Vanished Towns Revisited” (Reconstruction of once bustling, thriving communities that are now ghost towns), “Where Angels Tread” (Compendium of essays on a wide variety of religious topics spanning the Old and New Testaments), and "Star Over Bethlehem" (Merging both the Matthew and Luke gospel accounts of Jesus' birth and the origin of Christmas).
