Bob Volpert

Bob Volpert's early childhood was spent in Lake Placid, New York and his adolescence and college years in New York City. After a stint in the Army, he worked on Wall Street, first in New York and then in San Francisco. Along with some investment partners, he purchased an Idaho outfitting business in 1978 and today outfits on Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon, Main Salmon, the Rogue River in Oregon and the Kern River in Southern California. He and his wife Mary Papale live in Point Reyes Station, California. They have three grown son who guide river trips on the Middle Fork, Main Salmon and Rogue rivers.
