Brad Powell started reading books as a teenager and has never stopped. He reads a variety of genres, but his favorites are horror and post-apocalyptic science fiction. Born with a vivid imagination and a love of storytelling, his first works were homemade comic books that he wrote and drew in grade school. As an adult he created and told stories to his children. Believing they were as good or better than many of the ones he was reading, he opened his laptop and started writing. As of today, he has written eight full-length novels, dozens of short stories, and several novellas. After writing as a hobby for many years Brad is polishing and editing his stories for publication. First in a trilogy, the post-apocalyptic adventure story Shunted is his first published work. When not writing he enjoys reading, golfing, camping, watching football, and collecting and selling books, comic books and magazines from his home in Rockford, Illinois. He has a wife, two daughters and one grandson.
