Bruce Smith has been writing about technology and sport since long before the last century ended. His software and programming tutorials have helped thousands of people from all walks of life gain new skills and competencies in an ever-advancing world. His easy-to-read style simplifies difficult topics leading reviewer, Bill Penfold, to write, “This is the first computer book I’ve read in bed for pleasure rather than to cure insomnia!” Recent book projects have focused on the phenomenal $35 Raspberry Pi computer. His best-selling Raspberry Pi Raspbian Assembly Language has been adopted in many schools and universities as a standard teaching text. Bruce revels in exploring new software and hardware, explaining how to get the best from it, including the ARM Chip, RISC OS, and computers such as the BBC Micro, Amiga, PC, and Mac. Bruce has also written books on many sports and edited yearbooks on Fantasy Football, Formula 1, EPL and World Cup events. He recently re-launched Highbury: The Story of Arsenal Stadium, in its third edition. Bruce was one of the first exponents of desktop publishing and has been a recipient of the UK Desktop Publishing Journalist of the Year award.
