Burke Lennihan

Burke Lennihan entered Harvard planning to become a doctor like her father, but she developed a passionate commitment for natural healing as an undergraduate, and her life took a different turn. At a time when there was no professional training in natural medicine, she graduated from Harvard at the top of her class and opened a health food store. She ran her health food store until she was 40, interacting with thousands of customers and developing a treasure trove of knowledge about natural remedies -- from her studies and, more importantly, from talking to customers about what worked for them and how they could tell. A registered nurse, she currently practices as a holistic health care professional at the Lydian Center for Innovative Medicine in Cambridge, Mass. She lectures on homeopathy at Harvard Center for Wellness and at Lesley University. A health expert on Dr. Mehmet Oz's Sharecare.com, she produces a local TV show, A Healer In Every Home, available on the GreenHealingTV channel on YouTube. She also co-authored a chapter on natural healthcare products in the American Pharmacists Association's Handbook of Non-Prescription Drugs.
