C. B. Simpson

My name is Charlotte Brome-Simpson. I am a Registered Nurse who have worked as a Labor & Delivery Nurse for more than thirty years. This has brought much joy and satisfaction to my life. However I have always enjoyed being out in nature. I grew up on an island in the Caribbean Sea, so I was surrounded by a lot of natural beauty. My studies took me to England and Scotland where I encountered different natural scenery. I have always been curious about the natural world around me, some of which I studied in high school. I have had an enduring curiosity about how things work. In my research for this book series “The Green Guardians” of which “How Leaves Shape Our World”is the first, was like entering a wonderful mystical world. A world that is essential to the quality of our life on this planet. It is my desire to make this knowledge available to children, so maybe they will want to protect that which maintains the quality of, or maybe even our very lives here on earth.
