Welcome to My Author Page! Hi, I’m C Davert, and if you’re here, I’m guessing you enjoy a good story—or maybe you just like hearing about someone else’s hectic life to feel better about yours! I’ve had my fair share of careers. I started off writing for a small-town newspaper, where deadlines were fun, and the stories were... well, small-town interesting. That gave me a knack for capturing the everyday moments that make life both humorous and relatable. After my journalism stint, I spent years as a park ranger, welcoming folks to the great outdoors and keeping the park’s gardens in tip-top shape (let’s be honest, plants were way easier to manage than people). When I wasn’t showing campers where to set up camp, I was up in the sky as a private pilot. My husband and I had a business flying cargo, leasing planes for charter, and restoring airplane interiors—because, you know, I wasn’t busy enough! Not one to stick to just one kind of restoration, I also dived into real estate, buying and fixing up homes for resale. Clearly, I love to tidy up—whether it’s a house, a plane, or, nowadays, people’s lives through my books. I’ve written word search books, writing journals, decluttering guides for kids and adults, and financial budget trackers. My goal? To help you organize your life while keeping things light, funny, and (hopefully) a little less chaotic. Currently, I'm writing a book on AI for seniors, and particularly, AI's Chat GPT. I'm starting with the very basics and going from there for those seniors that may be a bit apprehensive about AI and computers in general. So, if you’re ready to declutter with a laugh, manage your budget, or solve a word puzzle, or write down your thoughts in one of many writing journals I have, you’ve come to the right place. Thanks for stopping by, and remember—if I can write newspaper stories, fly planes, restore homes, and keep a park looking pretty, I can definitely help you tackle that mess in your garage. (Just don’t ask me to stay in one career too long... I seem to have a thing for variety, or maybe I’m an adult career ADHD candidate!)
