C. L. Green

Cedric L. Green was born in Newark, New Jersey. In July of 1977, when he was seven years old, his family moved to Florida. While growing up, he was slender— slim actually—his grandmother called him Slim Pickens because he was slender and picky about what he ate. The name continued to stick over the years. As he and his younger brother grew up, she encouraged them to write and read books instead of watching television. His mother always stressed to him and his brother early on the importance of education. While in school, his teachers noticed his gift of writing, particularly his high school English Literature teacher. Sad to say, he eventually hid his gift for over 30 years. Since 2021, his heart reawakened to writing again beginning with the Slim Pickens series and now with Blue Bonnet Belle. It's his pleasure to share his stories with you!
