Caio Peres

Caio Peres is an independent researcher and missionary in Brazil, his home country, with his wife and two children. He holds a MA in Theology and Religious Studies from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His area of research is the Pentateuch, with emphasis on the Priestly Writings. Due to his involvement in social ministries, working and sharing his life with poor and vulnerable people in São Paulo, Brazil, he is eager to produce Biblical scholarship in conversation with his real-life experiences. Therefore, he is interested in the history of ancient Israel, its social and material culture in relation to households and cultic spaces intertwined with its literary and theological production.
