Caitlin Downie is a speech-language pathologist with over 10 years of experience supporting neurodivergent children and families. Caitlin is passionate about shifting narratives around neurodiversity and disabilities to help individuals embrace their authentic selves. Her Down for Divergent Books series addresses various neurodivergent profiles and themes to increase public understanding and acceptance of differently wired brains. Through her private practice, Connecting Dots Speech Therapy, she specializes in Gestalt Language Development, Apraxia of Speech, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Caitlin is a fierce advocate for neurodiversity- affirming practices and aims to build awareness and acceptance through her children's books and other creative work.
