Caitlin Sumner was born in California and began writing almost before she could read, at least inside her head. Somewhere on a very old hard drive is her first project, a news article about the Archaeological discovery of Skara Brae in the Orkney Islands, which she visited when she was five years old. As far as Caitlin and her parents can remember, she could read when she was eight and purchased her first computer, (with help) with her quarter savings, when she was nine. The exact creation of the article is unknown, but what is clear is that a passion for writing and history emerged early and stuck with Caitlin all the way to today. She studied Ancient and Medieval History at a University in Scotland, a place she has grown to love, however after numerous health issues and lack of cooperation from the university she was forced to withdraw. However, this opened another door. She was able to concentrate on her writing full time. 'Alexander's Lost General' is her first full length published novel. Caitlin currently splits her time among various locations, finding new opportunities, places, and friends. She enjoys gardening, knitting, (though only during the winter,) riding horses, (when she can,) as well as traveling throughout Europe and road tripping in the USA. Her proud list of visited countries outside the US and UK are: Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, and Finland.
