Cameron Chambers

Cameron Chambers has been writing for the outdoor market for nearly a decade. His work has appeared in Montana Magazine, Outside, Traveling Angler, Fly Fisherman, Swing the Fly, and American Angler. He has also published on wildland policy for Wildland Firefighter magazine, and several pieces for Arches magazine and Smokejumper, a quarterly publication of the National Smokejumper Association. After working a season as a fishing guide on Chile’s Futaleaufu River he decided to return to Patagonia with one mission: catch fish. At some point the stories behind the fish became much more interesting than the fish themselves. He conducted hundreds of hours of interviews, traced down historical leads, met with renowned biologists, and got threatened with violence to leave private property more than once. The story of the journey through Patagonia has become the pages of Chasing Rumor: A Season Fly Fishing Patagonia.
