Camilla Reid

Camilla Reid is one of the UK’s most successful writers for early years children. Her books have sold over 37 million copies, been translated into 42 languages and won numerous awards. Known for creating innovative, entertaining titles with strong child-appeal, she has often achieved success with long-running series, including the Pip and Posy stories, illustrated by Axel Scheffler (now an award-winning animation on Sky/Milkshake), the bestselling Peekaboo series, illustrated by Ingela P Arrhenius, and the Lulu books, illustrated by Allie Busby. 2024 saw the launch of a new range of Camilla Reid books published by Macmillan Children's Books. Camilla campaigns to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of early years shared reading and believes that the daily habit of cuddling up together with a book – even if it’s for just 5 minutes – is the key to a positive school experience and to better life chances.
