Carlos Clavijo is a spanish writer, producer, director and stand up comedian. Born in Malaga in 1971, he started publishing articles at the local newspaper when he was just 18. After studying Political Science in Granada, he lived in Siena (Italy) under the Erasmus Program, where he had the opportunity to travel around Europe during the fall of the Berlin wall. He has also lived in London, England, for a year. Then he came back to Spain to study cinema and television where he has been working for 15 years. He has published four novels of diverse genres. In 2002, Plaza&Janés (Random House Mondadori) edited Alas de Pollo (Chicken Wings), the story of an university dean that copies the work of his students. In 2006, he published the evocative drama Puentes Volados, the story of a young lawyer that is afraid of fulfilling his dreams and becoming a musician. In 2007, La Adivina, the story of Leni, a young physic that works in a cabaret in Berlin during the nazi era and that is forced to find the Spear of Longinus, a weapon of Power. In 2010, the publishing house Planeta Temas de Hoy launched El Hijo de la Vid (The son of Vineyard), an epic saga set in XIX century about a peasant that wants to make an immortal wine in La Rioja (Spain). He has won several awards.
