Carol Cooper is an author, journalist, and doctor. She graduated in medicine from Cambridge University, helped by working in supermarkets and writing music reviews. An award-winning non-fiction author, her newest book is “The History of Medicine in Twelve Objects". This lively read explores objects, from the barbaric to the inspired, that have defined medicine through the ages. Carol is also a novelist. Her latest novel “The Girls from Alexandria” blends the exoticism of the “Alexandria Quartet” with the intrigue of “Elizabeth is Missing”. Carol's experience as a family doctor injects her fiction with a keen understanding of human nature and an irreverent wit. In her other life, she has been teaching medical students and writing for Britain's best-selling newspaper. She was elected President of the Guild of Health Writers in 2014. Best of all, she has three amazing sons. More on drcarolcooper. com
