Carol Lynn Mitchell is a mixed media artist, designer and teaching artist. She has exhibited her fine arts work nationally and internationally as well as worked closely with arts integration organizations to develop programs for primary and secondary schools that incorporate creative expression with curriculum concepts. Her longstanding interest and efforts in integrating the arts in education took a new direction in illustrating The Ugly Butterfly. When she isn’t in the studio creating she can be found writing and reflecting on creativity and expression, developing collateral support materials for arts integrated curriculum and answering questions her innate curiosity asks with whatever is available to assist.
