Campbell is a lecturer, published writer and exhibited photographer. She has written about the arts and culture in her roles as an executive in major cultural institutions on the east and west coasts. Appointed as the first Director of Public Relations and Special Events at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, she subsequently held positions at the American Film Institute and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of the Arts and Architecture.
