Carolynn Barclay

I am a 67 year old Granny from Scotland. I live in Spain with my husband Jim and our two dogs, Red and Maya. We have lived here in the Alicante region for 18 years and own a restaurant here. I started writing poems during lockdown, although I had done a few for friends and family prior to that. When my grandson came along 6 years ago, I concentrated on a more child orientated theme and came up with Octo and Gertie, the adventures of a small spider and his friend a gecko. His interest and ability to sit and enjoy the poems only really kicked in when he was about 4, so I didn´t consider a book until then. I was encouraged to put the poems into print after sharing them with others and thus, OCTO AND GERTIE was published. This is my second book of poems to be published. The first being MY LIFE OF RHYME.
