Carrie Newcomer is a songwriter, recording artist, and author, described as a “prairie mystic” by the Boston Globe and “asks all the right questions” by Rolling Stone, Recent appearances include PBS Religion & Ethics, On Being and What We Need is Here: Hope, Hard Times and Human Possibility with Parker J. Palmer. Carrie lives in the woods of southern Indiana with her husband and two mutt dogs. Many of her poems and essays, were written on the road. She has the vantage point of a traveling folk singer, which makes her both sincere and able to read a paper map.
