Catherine J.S. Lee lives, writes, teaches, and gardens on a Maine island near Canada. While better known as a haiku poet and haiga artist, her first love has always been the short story. Many of her stories have appeared in print and online journals. Island Secrets: Stories from the Coast of Maine is her first published book-length work of fiction. She is currently writing stories for a collection set in northern Maine, and revising a novel. Lee is also the author of the award-winning haiku collection, All That Remains: A Haiku Collection Inspired by a Maine Childhood, originally published in a handmade edition by Turtle Light Press. Her haiku have been published world-wide and translated into several languages. She edited the 2015 members’ anthology, A Splash of Water, for the Haiku Society of America. Lee also enjoys Zentangling, playing the five-string banjo and the banjolele, hosting blues and folk music shows on a local radio station, and chasing sunsets with her digital cameras.
