A New Yorker who grew up in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn wrote her first book, Acting for Film as a tool for all actors to deepen their understanding of creating a role for an on-camera performance. As a teacher and workshop leader she says, “I demystify sense memory and method acting techniques for actors, film students, and writers so they can develop their ideas and performance to the greatest extent of their abilities.” Her guidance as a teacher and workshop leader, both here and in Europe has enriched the lives of thousands of her students. She believes in the intuitive use of the self as a tool to spark the technique to be in the moment and illuminate unique characters.
