So why not preview the book and see for yourself! So what is the story behind RailPass InfoRailMap? Railpass RailMap (aka RailRouter now morphed into InfoRailMap) is the accumulated product of many awesome Interrail adventures spanning the last couple of decades. What I wanted was a European Railway Map that was more than just a network guide and so that is exactly what I have created. Every year RailPass RailMap evolves so this year in 2024 its new incarnation is even more icon rich, info augmented and informative photograph illustrated railway network guide specifically designed and devoted 100% to the Global RailPass traveller. The actual experience of regularly traversing across the continent has clearly demonstrated to me that a paper hard copy of a Railway Map is actually a much easier and better way of getting your head around what is actually possible. Planning is absolutely crucial to maximising the potential of a Global RailPass and although the advent of technology makes EVERYTHING 100% easier and efficient .. it is the indisputable and hard fact that getting a proper and realistic perspective on planning something as unique as a Global RailPass no small screen can ever compete or equal! So although the PDF is super useful the actual Paper RailMap actually is much more efficient way of planning for a Global RailPass. So acknowledging this awareness I have created super user friendly Railway RailPass RailMap that has multiple duplicates across the spreads to enable you to make it as easy as possible to get your head around what is actually out there to experience and how to get there efficiently. Thus ALL the most impressive scenic routes are instantly identifiable across the whole network so you can easily plan your prospective routes via the most interesting and scenic rich journeys. This has been exaggerated in Switzerland and with the (usually) included Alpine detailed RailMap pages. Also instantly visible are the most tourist rich destinations depicted with the new for 2022 icons. Travelling in Germany and Austria via the super-efficient fast trains are included in your RailPass .. which is instantly identifiable by the distinction of Orange and Purple connections so you know instantly which routes are free and which will incur additional cost. Also crucial is the including of the ferry in your adventure .. for example Finland is an awesome place to visit and so easily accessible from Stockholm with efficient and cheap ways to get there and back .. visiting the Mediterranean islands of Sicily, Corsica and Sardinia is something which is usually overlooked but is really easy to organise and so worth the effort. Crossing the Adriatic Sea between Italy and Croatia is also easily accomplished by super fast ferry. Getting to the Baleric islands of the coast of Spain is also so easily organised from the many ports along the coast of Eastern Spain. Ireland is only accessible either by aeroplane or ferry and in the spring and early summer is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe to visit .. so the advice is .. don’t limit your RailPass adventure to just the railway network! Actively think about including the ferries and find out what discounts you are entitled to. RailMap includes info on the most popular ferry routes. NB. Always remember that your Interrail/Eurail RailPass must be valid on the day of travel to attract the exceptional budget friendly discounts. So (lately just in case you need reminding!) why travel around Europe? Travelling around Europe by train is more than just a holiday or an 'interesting cultural experience' to share with your friends and family .. it really is anything that you want to make it .. the landscape is the most varied and spectacular on the planet .. there are 30 different countries all with their different languages, art, food, culture, religion and customs packed into a tiny geographical space .. there are super fast trains, slow trains, double decker trains, trains that get on ferry's, night trains and even completely windowed scenic trains. And what really does it for me is going to sleep in a comfy couchette in Germany and waking up in Italy .. spending the day on the trams in Milan and then taking another night train and waking up the next day in Paris .. it really is a totally unique experience that really does enrich your whole being .. and I am just as excited about my next Interrail adventure as I was my first. Thanks for reading .. and happy travelling wherever you go! The InfoRailMap Team! Manchester United Kingdom
