Cecilia Cohen

"While writing a first draft is usually an act of furious creative passion, finishing a manuscript requires dedication and passionless revision. It always takes longer than I expect, and it's often hard to know when I'm done." Cecilia Cohen is an artist and a writer. Her published works include trade books, articles, songs, and fiction; her audience spans from toddlers to adults. Her preferred art medium is glass, but she also paints murals and designs original knitwear. Born in California in 1959, she visited Israel for the first time in the summer of 1979, and fell in love with kibbutz life. Although she no longer lives on kibbutz, Ms. Cohen still makes her home in Israel, living in a small village in the mountains south of Hebron.
