Chad McDonald attended medical school at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency program with Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN). He then went on to add his Family Medicine board certification and became board certified in addiction medicine. He is currently practicing a hybrid of addiction and family medicine at multiple sites throughout the greater Hartford, CT area. In addition to seeing his patients, Dr. McDonald also serves as the medical director for a large, not-for-profit FQHC-LA wherein he extends his abilities to provide holistic, comprehensive healthcare including social work supports. Chad has published multiple medical research papers including "Crohns Disease Diagnosis Following Discovery of In-Situ Follicular Lymphoma”. Additionally, he likes to think outside the box, enabling him to see the bigger picture of medical (and non-medical) problems. Chad also loves teaching and is currently a clinical instructor of family medicine and teaches medical students of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and resident physicians from his alma mater, ECHN. He continues to share science and medical knowledge with anyone who will listen. He enjoys hiking, traveling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his loved ones.
