Charisse Fontes is a storyteller, anthropologist, and doula who writes books that bring humanity to life—for both the big and small. Through her work, she explores the beauty of kindness, connection, and awareness, helping people of all ages embrace the best parts of being human. As an international speaker and community cultivator, Charisse inspires individuals, teams, and leaders to create spaces where humanity thrives. Whether guiding organizations in building meaningful cultures or sharing heartwarming stories with young readers, her work is rooted in the belief that humanity is the bridge to a better world. Beyond writing, Charisse is a birth doula, intuitive guide, and mother of six who understands the power of beginnings—whether it’s a new life, a new perspective, or a new story. She brings this wisdom into everything she does, blending anthropology, spirituality, and storytelling to help people connect more deeply with themselves and each other. Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, Charisse lives with her family, a flock of chickens, and an abundance of plants. When she’s not writing or doing humanity work, she’s gaming, exploring new worlds, or getting lost in a sci-fi adventure as a proud Trekkie.
