After over 30 years in Public Relations, Charles is no stranger to writing. But after writing journalisticly for years, retirement gave him the opportunity to explore his first love, Crime Fiction. Charles has always enjoyed watching Crime Fiction shows on television and reading Crime Fiction novels. But in his retirement years, he has been able to share his own creativity with readers. Raised in rural Southwestern Mississippi, Charles has lived, worked, and visited several places around the country, and the world. While the people and situations in his books are fictional, everywhere mentioned is a real place he has spent time. Charles works hard to give the reader a feel for each location mentioned in his books. To hopefully make the location "come alive" for the reader. Charles' first book, The Chambers Files, was recently awarded the 2024 International Impact Book Award in the Crime Fiction category.
