Charleslisa DeJesus is a native of Buffalo, New York. She is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communication. Charleslisa’s communication career spans more than 27 years in both the public and private sectors. It is where she has honed her writing skills, and it has fueled her passion to become a published author. “Black to Ghana: An African American Travel Guide to Ghana” is her sophomore book, inspired by her memorable travels to Ghana. She has also authored a memoir, “A Product of a Pimp and a Prostitute: My Forgiveness Journey.” Both works are published through King Jesus Press LLC, a company she founded in 2018. King Jesus Press LLC offers publishing services to help other writers become authors as well. Those services include: ghost writing, editing, design, layout, preparation for distribution, etc. Charleslisa has one adult daughter, Dominique, and a loveable grandbuddy named Kairo.
