关于作者

Growing up, I was an avid reader, eagerly exploring the different worlds found between the pages of books. My passion for great storytelling helped me to achieve an A in A Level English Literature before I travelled north to read Psychology at Edinburgh University. It was here that I became fascinated with the psychology of young minds, and I left four years later with a 2.1 Master of Art with Honours degree. Nowadays, I am lucky enough to live in the gorgeous Forest of Dean. I have always loved being surrounded by the forest, as it is so full of places where my imagination can take off and where I can easily imagine fairies and other magical creatures existing. I love to write because, even on the coldest, wettest days when no one wants to venture outside into the real world, I can embark on an adventure in a world of my choosing. I was a primary school teacher in a local forest school for twelve years before I left to focus on my writing full-time. One of my favourite quotes I loved to tell the children I taught was this: If you don’t read, you can only live one lifetime; if you do read, then you could live thousands. My passion for arts and education has inspired me to write my first children’s book series, Broken Twigs, and I have now published picture books too.
