Cheryl B. Klein

Cheryl B. Klein is the author of three picture books for children -- WINGS, THUNDER TRUCKS, and A YEAR OF EVERYDAY WONDERS -- and two writing guides for adults, most recently THE MAGIC WORDS: WRITING GREAT BOOKS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS. She also serves as the editorial director at Lee & Low Books, the nation's largest publisher of multicultural books for young readers, and previously worked at Arthur A. Levine Books/Scholastic, overseeing a wide array of successful titles at both places. Cheryl comes by her love for children's and YA books as a matter of nature as well as nurture: her grandfather was a professor of children's literature who passed along many of his review copies, and she grew up to be a happy narrative nerd as a result.
