Chris Beetles Gallery occupies a distinct position in the world of commercial art galleries by specialising in traditional artworks from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, and by remaining particularly focussed on British watercolours, oils, illustrations, cartoons and figurative sculptures. Chris Beetles Gallery is renowned for the high quality of its numerous books and exhibitions catalogues. We invest hugely in the literature that we produce, publishing original research, biographies and essays to accompany most of our exhibitions. We have published several comprehensive monographs, catalogues raisonnés and biographies of our gallery artists, including W L Wyllie, The Fraser Family, Louis Wain, George and Eileen Soper, S R Badmin, Betty Swanwick, Ronald Searle and Peter Coker. A large stock of signed books by or relating to our gallery artists is available.
