I am a Professor of Finance at the Henley Business School, University of Reading. I have always loved writing as the best part of my job and in particular the challenge of explaining sometimes complex ideas in an intuitive way. My first book, Introductory Econometrics for Finance, was the world's earliest beginner-level statistics textbook aimed at finance students, and is now in its fourth edition having sold over 70,000 copies worldwide. I have also worked with firms and regulators, turning what I have learned into practice to help them solve problems that they face.
