Chris Cate’s humor has been featured in Reader’s Digest, The Washington Post, Scary Mommy, TODAY Parents, BuzzFeed, McSweeney’s and many more national outlets. He’s also been featured on HuffPost’s weekly list of funniest parents on Twitter more than 100 times. Meanwhile, more than 250,000 parents follow his @ParentNormal Instagram account where he shares daily parenting humor. Before writing children’s books, Chris was a speechwriter and spokesperson for several state agencies, including the Florida Department of State and Florida Department of Environmental Protection. His diverse career also includes work as an umpire, waiter, high school English teacher, stand-up comedian, high school basketball and baseball coach, college professor, movie extra and producer/reporter for the CBS television station in Birmingham, Alabama. Chris lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and three kids. They are probably together on a soccer field somewhere.
