Chris Dehnert

When the final whistle blows and Chris is away from the pitch he spends extra time writing blogs, short stories and books about the things he loves. This includes animals (a fascination of dogs and sharks amongst others!), outdoor adventures (he does like a hike or 2!) and of course football (that'll be soccer in the USA)! When he's not writing, Chris can be found at different venues coaching, heavily focused on the youth development school and club he helps run. With Chris' vast experience of coaching/playing soccer in different countries including the UK, Germany, Sweden and the USA he has clear philosophy and direction of where to take the game for improvement and enjoyment for all involved. Away from work Chris loves family time with little trips and days out whenever possible. This includes treks with his dog Loki, exploring new walks and trails and afterwards perhaps searching for the world's best coffee or ice cream as a treat! Chris hopes his books inspire kids to embrace their imaginations while learning and having fun with some key messages throughout. His heartwarming picture books are about friendship, family, and working together with a good attitude. Chris enjoys visiting schools and libraries to share his love of reading with young audiences and hopes to get more children involved with reading at a young age and be healthy and active with something they love at the same time.
