Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson was born in Dublin, Georgia in 1969. He graduated from the University of Georgia with an English degree, and from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Fine Arts. He spent his twenties in New York, his thirties in Savannah, and is now living in the backwoods of southeast Georgia with his two bloodhounds. He has not yet become a total recluse, but is working actively towards it--a process enhanced by the writing of fiction. Though he's been knocking around writing for this-and-that for years, "Prequel" is his first published fiction. It is, in fact, a prequel. It was originally intended as a prologue to another work, but it took on a life of its own, and so it is being presented in its entirety here. It will appear significantly abridged in the forthcoming novel "Threshold," to be published sometime in 2014.
