Chris Pye

I'm passionate about carving, having loved it since I first put chisel to wood over 35 years ago. I also love teaching and writing about woodcarving. In fact, if I wasn't a carver, I think I'd be a writer! I carve a wide variety of things, from mouldings and lettering to abstract sculpture and figures, almost all to commission. I guess you might call my style 'traditional' in that I leave the majority of my work straight 'from the chisel' and, indeed, I'm a member of the prestigious Master Carvers Association (www.MasterCarvers.co.uk).
