Lancaster Homegirl, Christina Diehl, Realtor and experienced real estate investor is passionate about helping young women get their financial lives started off on the right foot. When the pandemic began in 2020, Christina, like many Realtors found business halted. Unable to go out on showings or complete transactions, she was more grateful than ever for the passive income stream she had built up over the years. “For many years, I kept my goals and successes to myself for fear of making people uncomfortable . . . after all, we aren’t supposed to talk about money, right? But, when I started sharing my experiences with others, so many people said to me, ‘I wish I had known what you knew about money at an early age,’ and I realized if I had been more open with people, maybe I could have helped them avoid the financial hardships they are now facing.” Christina’s knowledge was passed down to her from her father, but many parents don’t know where to begin when talking to their children about finances. While MoneyGirl mainly addresses young women, the lessons Christina expels are of infinite value to any young person just starting out in life, as well as parents hoping to teach their child about financial literacy. Written in a conversational tone, Christina relays her own experiences with money through relatable storytelling. “It is my dream and my mission to help other young women achieve the financial freedom I now enjoy.” While Christina never envisioned herself an author, this subject matter was just too important for her to ignore.
