Christine E. Riedthaler Lucas is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, a city with more than its fair share of humor. Consequently, she infuses comedy into everything she writes. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Area Studies and Spanish from Wittenberg University, a Master’s in Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University, and graduate certificates from Harvard University in team building and leadership. Chris is an accomplished nonprofit executive with expertise in operations, fundraising, financial management, international programs, planned giving, and strategic planning. She is a thirty-year veteran of the Foreign Policy Association’s Editorial Advisory Board and recently joined the Wittenberg Innovation Network Foundation board. Chris is also an active community volunteer and is especially passionate about encouraging youth to explore STEM careers in space. A lifelong Lutheran, she served ten years as a teen Sunday School teacher, developing lessons connecting pop culture and faith. Chris and her husband Dan have two adult daughters. Self-avowed geeks, they reside in Tallahassee, Florida, with two adorable mutts.
