17 years ago Christo’s life changed. You would never say so if you knew him now, but one day he had what they call “a high-paying job”. He was a “suit”. But 17 summers ago he decided he could not take it anymore and decided to leave his old life behind. That day, on his way home, he stopped to buy a little lemon tree. That was the day he was reborn, so much that if you ask Christo today how old is he, he would answer “seventeen”. He went to live with his family, his dog, and his parrot, on a hill and he made sure he was going to be able to see other hills up to the horizon for the rest of his life. In his new life, Christo became a plant lover, indoor, outdoor, everywhere. He grows his own vegetables and has become an expert in raised beds, container gardening, and all plant-related things. He also has his personal "house forest" in his living room. He believes in the Ayurvedic power of plants and thinks everybody should find their own balance with the help of our green companions with which we share this planet. To these days, he still owns that lemon tree, which is now thriving and overwhelming his wife's beloved library.
