Christopher Keane

关于作者

Dr. Christopher Keane is enjoying the world anew through the eyes of his 2 year old daughter. He composes music, sings, plays violin and piano, mainly for his daughter Ember. Chris, with his wife Kathy, founded Flock Eco-Games and Stories to create richly illustrated story books, games and toy models to explore ecological dynamics affecting the future of life on earth. His books target youth through old age. "Paper in a Land of Rocks and Scissors" is a picture book appealing to the youngest audience, but does not shy away from challenging words and ideas. "Balancing, Tipping and Survival" is appropriate for children in middle school or older, but adults will also learn much about ecosystem dynamics and computer modeling (agent-based modeling). The books includes access to online toy models. His "Modeling Behavior" is the most advanced book on toy models (or "agent-based modeling") and focuses more on applications to community health. Each chapter includes online toy models. This book reflects Dr. Keane's many years of academic research (over 30 peer-reviewed publications) and teaching. Chris has found that younger persons have great aptitude for his material. So he decided it would be most productive to focus on creating multi-media material for younger persons.
