Chris Santoro

CHRISTOPHER SANTORO has been illustrating a wide array of beloved children’s books for more than 40 years. Some of his titles include Open the Barn Door, It’s Haunted, Noah’s Ark, Old MacDonald Had a Dragon, Charlie the Caterpillar and Bang! Boom! Roar! A Busy Crew of Dinosaurs. Most recently he has been busy at work continuing his highly successful flap book series for Random House that began with the publication of Open The Barn Door in 1993, now enjoyed by generations of young readers. The most recent titles in the series are Open The Garage Door and Open The Preschool Door. Over the course is his career, his work has been honored by the Society of Illustrators, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the American Library Association, and The New Yorker. He divides his time between his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Key West, and can always be found in his studio creating new projects.
