She has taught yoga, pranayama and meditation nationally and internationally for over 25 years. Due to her interests in spirituality, psychology and health (mind, body, and beyond), she became a psychologist, a certified yoga therapist (with the International Association of Yoga Therapists), a registered yoga instructor (with the Yoga Alliance), a Reiki Master, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has long-standing interests in the connections between mind-body-spirit, the promotion of well-being, stress-related concerns, alternative and complementary approaches to healing, and spirituality, religion and transformative personal practices. She is a Senior Level TriYoga® Teacher and Teacher Trainer, certified in four levels of asana (posture and flow) practices, as well as four levels of Prana Vidya practices (pranayama/breathing, dharana/concentration, and dhyana/meditation practices). Citrini is drawn to TriYoga because of the grace, beauty, and spiritual and meditative qualities of the practice. She is also a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) having enjoyed teaching yoga to children and adolescents since her doctoral dissertation research on yoga's influence on children's mental health and behavior. She has taught yoga, breathing, concentration practices, and meditation to preschool through eighth grade students in school and yoga studio settings. She deeply loves sharing practices that engender transformation, and helping others uncover their connection to the Universal. In addition to her professional interests, she has cultivated personal and communal spiritual practices that connect her to Spirit. Citrini is passionate about supporting others in finding their path to healing and to a spiritual connection of their own understanding. Her first name, Citrinī, means “bright" in Sanskrit.
